NRG Ventures Team Had a Productive Trip to Yerevan

At EMERGE, founder of NRG Ventures Roman Tyan and the fund’s communications manager Pauline Piedra dove into a rapidly growing Armenian startup ecosystem. In short, both days have been quite eventful and brought a lot of future possibilities.

Happy to share a few insights:

— We met with the founders of more than 30 talented startups, and happy to announce that we committed to invest in our first startup from Armenia! (we’ll share the details later)

— We were able to connect with the Armenian Startup Ecosystem, and we now plan to visit Armenia on a regular basis and help its startups enter global markets, and the MENA region, in particular.

— We also agreed to collaborate with the Georgian startup ecosystem.

— All in all, we realized that Armenian and Georgian tech startup scenes have been actively evolving for the past few years. There is undoubtedly great potential there in terms of innovative ideas and a good product-market fit.

It was indeed a real pleasure to catch up with so many great people in person. We hope to stay connected and bring value to the tech world together.
